Construction Update: The Design is Coming to Life

Over the past few weeks, the transformation at 5040 Shoreham Place has been striking. As the center's Executive Director Martin Durham notes: “the underlying design concept continues to emerge.”

The front exterior of the building is seeing significant progress, with concrete pours under way this week and next. Inside, casework has been installed throughout the exam rooms, ER/ICU, and specialty areas, marking a major step toward the facility feeling like the hospital it will become. The clean room for the clinical pharmacy has also been installed — a key milestone for one of the center’s core services.

The skylights are now fully installed, bringing natural light into the heart of the building.
