What makes UC Davis specialists different?
UC Davis doesn’t just employ veterinary specialists—we help train them. In fact, UC Davis faculty helped pioneer many of the veterinary specialties practiced today.
Board-certified veterinary specialists complete at least three—and typically four or more—years of advanced training after veterinary school and must meet the rigorous standards of an AVMA-recognized specialty college.
At the Hobbs Veterinary Medical Center, our exceptionally trained clinicians work alongside emergency and critical care teams to manage complex cases, advance new treatments and prepare the next generation of veterinary specialists. It is the expertise of a world-leading veterinary teaching institution, now available to pets and families in Southern California.
