UC Davis Hobbs Veterinary Center Dedication: All the Details!

On October 1, the UC Davis Hobbs Veterinary Center team along with UC Davis leadership and leadership council members celebrated an extraordinary moment for the future of veterinary care in Southern California and beyond: the dedication of the Janice K. Hobbs UC Davis Veterinary Medical Center Southern California.

This remarkable new center was built on a shared belief in what is possible when a deep love of animals and exceptional veterinary medicine come together. Because of the generosity and partnership of so many, the UC Davis Hobbs Veterinary Center will allow us to care for more animals, offer hope to more families, and create new opportunities to advance veterinary medicine for generations to come.

As Provost Mary Croughan shared in her remarks, the impact of veterinary medicine reaches far beyond the animals we care for. UC Davis research in dogs with spina bifida helped pave the way for a groundbreaking human clinical trial, a powerful example of how discoveries in veterinary medicine can transform both animal and human health. Watch this remarkable story.

We offer our deepest gratitude to Janice K. Hobbs, whose extraordinary vision and generosity helped bring this center to life. We are equally grateful to the philanthropic partners whose generosity has helped make this vision possible and who continues to help us equip the center with the advanced technology and resources our veterinary teams need to provide exceptional care.

In the days and weeks ahead, we are looking forward to sharing more, stay tuned!
